More about David Bromley
David Bromley (b. 1960) was born in Sheffield, England. He immigrated to Australia at the age of 13, where he grew to be an established and innovative self-taught painter touted as one of Australian Art Collector’s 50 Most Collectable Artists.
Bromley’s works reference his childhood literature influences, as well as pop culture artists like Andy Warhol and Roy Lichtenstein. This can be seen through his bold and assertive brushwork in his works often embellished with gold and metallic leaves.
He has been a finalist four times in the Archibald Prize and is the painter of some eminent visages, including Scott Hicks, Hugo Weaving and Kylie Minogue.
